Bernese tech start-up Soobr, a pioneer in AI-driven cleaning optimization, has entered its sixth European market with an expansion into Denmark. The company doubled its revenue in 2024 and grew its client base to 70, including several prominent healthcare institutions.
Soobr AG, the Bern-based start-up revolutionizing cleaning logistics, continues its rapid growth, now entering Denmark as its sixth European market. Founded in 2020, Soobr specializes in optimizing cleaning operations through its AI-powered Smart Cleaning platform, which dynamically adjusts cleaning plans to meet real-time needs.
Healthcare institutions, including Uniklinik Mannheim and Kantonsspital Winterthur, have embraced Soobr’s technology to maintain stringent hygiene standards in patient rooms, operating theaters, and sanitary facilities. By automating cleaning schedules, the platform reduces time and resource use while ensuring compliance with hygiene requirements. Cleaning staff use tablets or smartphones to view tasks and log completed work digitally, streamlining operations and enhancing transparency.
Soobr’s client portfolio grew to 70 companies in 2024, with the addition of over 25 healthcare institutions. Its Smart Cleaning platform is also widely used by facility service providers, large enterprises, and property owners. Across these sectors, Soobr manages 3,000 cleaning rounds daily, optimizing operations for a total area of five million square meters.
Sustained growth and environmental impact
The start-up’s expansion into Denmark comes through a strategic partnership with Kongsvang, a leading Danish facility service provider. This move further cements Soobr’s position as a key player in Europe’s cleaning technology market, following its success in Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Austria.
Building on its 2023 Purus Award win for innovation in cleaning logistics, Soobr doubled its revenue in 2024 while significantly expanding its client base. The company’s smart planning tool not only improves operational efficiency but also contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing water, chemical, and energy consumption.
