Vaud-based AI company Largo.ai has raised CHF 7 million in a Series A round to accelerate its AI-driven solutions for film, TV, and advertising. Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone joins as a strategic investor, marking a major step in the company’s expansion.
Largo.ai, a provider of AI-powered solutions for the film, TV, and advertising industries, has raised CHF 7 million in a Series A funding round. The financing was co-led by TI Capital (Los Angeles) and QBIT Capital (Switzerland and Los Angeles), with additional participation from Atreides Management (Boston), DAA Capital, and Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, who joins as a strategic investor. Thomas Tippl, former Vice Chairman and COO of Activision Blizzard, also contributed to the round.
The investment will enable Largo.ai to accelerate its growth and expand its AI-driven content tools. Currently used by over 600 companies, including major Hollywood studios and agencies, the company plans to launch Version 3 of its platform. This new iteration will provide predictive analytics and early-stage creative concept generation, allowing users to visualize content before production.
Beyond the film industry, Largo.ai is expanding into advertising with its Brands Suite, an AI-powered toolset designed to optimize marketing campaigns. The suite includes the Simulated Focus Group, a tool that enables advertisers to test concepts with AI-generated digital twins of real consumers, reducing the time and costs associated with traditional focus groups.
Redefining AI’s role in the entertainment and advertising industries
“When we founded Largo.ai in 2020, AI was mostly confined to large streaming platforms,” said Sami Arpa, CEO and Co-founder. “Today, AI adoption is accelerating across industries. With this investment, we can push the boundaries of AI integration in filmmaking and advertising.”
Founded in collaboration with EPFL, Largo.ai operates from the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne and maintains offices in Los Angeles, London, and Istanbul. The company has trained its AI models on over 400,000 films and TV series, analyzing cinematographic patterns, audience behaviors, and script structures to enhance content development.
With this latest funding and high-profile backing, Largo.ai is set to redefine the role of AI in the entertainment and advertising industries, making content creation more data-driven and efficient.
